Some places aren’t easy to reach.
This waterfall only flows a few times a year, hidden deep within a narrow break in the rock known as the Eye of the Needle. Getting there is part of the story. One of my favorite hikes, but also one of the most dangerous. Steep terrain, ropes, and careful steps the entire way down.
By the time you arrive, you’ve earned it.
Standing there, surrounded by towering stone and the sound of water echoing through the canyon, everything else fades out. It’s quiet in a way that only places like this can be. Rare. Untouched. Temporary.
