Some photographs bring back much more than the view. This one takes me back to one of the best photography experiences I’ve ever had.
While visiting Mexican Hat, Utah, we struck up a conversation with an employee at a nearby business who shared his passion for dancing. We asked if he would dance for us while we photographed him beneath the Milky Way. Watching him dance with that incredible sky stretching above the desert was something I’ll never forget.
The movement, the detail of his outfit, and the stars above the rock formations came together in a moment I could never have planned on my own. This photograph went on to earn two awards, but the experience of creating it means even more to me.
The Way of the Sky brings that unforgettable moment into your home, sharing the beauty of the desert night and the connection that made this photograph possible.
