Deep within the Bisti Badlands of New Mexico, the landscape feels like another world. Strange formations shaped by wind and time rise from the desert floor, surrounded by miles of silence and open sky.
I photographed this scene during my journey through the Southwest in June. After daylight faded, the Milky Way appeared above the formations known as the Stone Eggs. Standing beneath a sky filled with more stars than I could count, I was reminded just how small we are and how much beauty still exists in the quietest places.
