There are moments when the sky does not just storm. It breaks.
Standing beneath this shelf of clouds, the air felt heavy and charged. Then the horizon split open as lightning stretched across the sky in every direction.
Not every trip goes as planned, but sometimes it becomes even better. I was out in the middle of Oklahoma expecting a clear night for Milky Way photos when a pop up storm rolled in. Instead of stars, I found myself chasing lightning.
These are the nights where sleep is not an option. You just keep shooting.
