A golden Harvest Moon hangs above a valley dressed in autumn color, glowing against a soft lavender sky. In the foreground, a rugged rock ledge reaches out over the forest, giving this peaceful scene a sense of height and adventure.
The title has a very literal story behind it. Photographing this view meant figuring out just how close I could position my tripod to the edge of a steep cliff and staying well past dark to capture the Harvest Moon. Let’s just say I was paying as much attention to my tripod’s feet as I was to the view!
“Evening on the Edge” brings together the warmth of fall, the quiet beauty of moonlight, and a little of the adventure that happens behind the camera. A memorable evening outdoors, captured to bring the adventure home.
